If you’ve ever taken the time to scroll through Pinterest, there’s no doubt that you’ve come across the idea of eating breakfast out of a jar. Not only is it the perfect option for breakfast on the go but it also looks pretty cool.  Here’s one of our household favourites.

Blueberry Chia Overnight Oats

You’ll need: 

  • A medium sized consol / mason jar
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 3/4 cup milk (Try using Almond Milk if you’re feeling adventurous or you’re avoiding dairy)
  • Handful of blueberries

Method: 

Place the oats into your jar and sprinkle the chia seeds over the oats. Pour in the milk and place the blueberries on top. You can really get creative here; try sliced banana’s, a teaspoon of peanut butter or even a scoop of protein. Place the lid on the jar and pop it in the fridge overnight. Pull it out in the morning and enjoy – it tastes best straight out of the fridge.
